Revelation

It is not always necessary to find something new in order to see something that had previously remained hidden.

Sometimes the difference lies not in the material itself, but in the way it is observed.

This photograph belongs to one of those moments. An instant in which years of searching, observation and intervention converge into a different understanding of something that has been present from the very beginning.

Revelation does not add information. It reorganises what was already there.

For this reason, it rarely appears immediately. It emerges after the journeys, the effort, the repetition and the time spent in close relationship with the material.

The piece remains the same.

What changes is the relationship we establish with it.

Perhaps every revelation consists of this: recognising something that was there long before we were capable of seeing it.
